Common topics
No. Recipients open the receiver page in Chrome with the Drive file ID or link and the bundle key. Import into a vault requires the extension.
Encrypted blobs are stored on the sender’s own Google Drive (when connected), not on Securiqon servers. Only ciphertext is uploaded.
Google Drive API requires user authorization to upload to your personal Drive. API keys cannot replace OAuth for this. Receiving public links does not require OAuth in the vault.
Yes. Files use your Google account storage quota. The extension does not upload to the developer’s Drive.
Vault & devices
No — not automatically. Your vault lives in this extension’s local IndexedDB and chrome.storage.local on each device. Chrome profile sync may install the same extensions elsewhere, but it does not copy extension vault data. To use your vault on another computer, transfer it explicitly: Pro users can restore an encrypted .sdsp profile backup (file or Drive link) and enter the same passphrase; or export files manually. Google Drive connection (OAuth) must be set up again on the new device.
