Last updated: June 11, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Secure Document Sharing, a Chrome browser extension published by Securiqon (“we”, “us”), and the website at secure-doc-share.securiqon.com.
By installing or using the extension, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the extension.

1. The service
Secure Document Sharing provides:
- A local encrypted vault for organizing files in Chrome
- Bundle creation: client-side encryption and optional upload to your Google Drive
- A receiver page to decrypt bundles with a link and key
- Optional Pro features as described in the Chrome Web Store listing
The extension runs primarily on your device. We do not host your vault contents or encryption keys on Securiqon servers.
2. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Choosing and protecting your vault passphrase
- Securely distributing bundle keys to intended recipients
- Compliance with laws applicable to documents you store or share
- Configuration of your Google Cloud / Google Drive account when using advanced Drive setup
- Maintaining backups of important data
Loss of your passphrase may result in permanent loss of access to encrypted data. We cannot recover it.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the extension to:
- Violate any law or third-party rights
- Distribute malware or illegal content
- Attempt to circumvent security of the extension or Google services
- Abuse Google Drive API quotas or OAuth systems
4. Third-party services
Google Chrome and Chrome Web Store
Your use of Chrome and installation from the Web Store are subject to Google’s terms and policies.
Google Drive and Google Cloud
If you connect Google Drive or configure OAuth, your use of Google services is governed by Google’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Google Drive is optional transport. We are not responsible for Google service availability, outages, or policy changes.
5. Intellectual property
The extension, website, branding, and documentation are owned by Securiqon or its licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the extension as intended through the Chrome Web Store.
You retain all rights to your content. We do not claim ownership of your files.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
THE EXTENSION AND WEBSITE ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the extension will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of vulnerabilities. Cryptography and browser environments evolve; you use the extension at your own risk.
7. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SECURIQON AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE EXTENSION OR WEBSITE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE EXTENSION IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (OR USD $50 IF NO FEES WERE PAID).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Securiqon from claims arising from your content, your use of the extension, or your violation of these Terms.
9. Changes
We may modify these Terms or the extension. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
10. Termination
You may stop using the extension at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or discontinue the extension where required by law or platform policies.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Securiqon operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts in that jurisdiction shall have exclusive venue, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country provide otherwise.
